Maura Jaye - Nothing Gold [EP]

Maura Jaye is an 18 year old musician based in Santa Barbara, California. Growing up in Seattle provided Maura the opportunity to see lots of live music, inspiring in her a love for the art. She first started writing songs when she was 15, and has since developed her skill and passion for music creation. Her first EP Nothing Gold, recorded in August of 2021, explores a myriad of topics including the natural world, overcoming challenges, and love. In writing music, Maura finds that much of her content is not about her, but rather a fictitious character that reveals itself as the song is written.

Recently, Maura has been playing gigs at local venues around the Santa Barbara area. She’s currently writing new material and is in the process of putting together a follow-up album.
