This Bliss - Forensically Restyled

Mint 400

In honor of their two-year debut anniversary, This Bliss is getting a new look. Introducing the remix album, ‘Forensically Restyled,’ out now via Mint 400 Records.

Described by Impose Magazine as fusing “affinities for electronics and pure songwriting to form a future-forward sound,” This Bliss teamed up with some of their favorite local producers to reimagine all eight tracks of the original album, including ‘Simmer 2X’ and debut single, ‘Believe’. The result is a deeper exploration of the electronic music genre featuring the signature flavors of each individual contributor. This project was also an opportunity for each original member of the band to reenvision their own material, with two tracks by Nick Zampiello (New Alliance East) and one each from Jess Baggia and Tom Maroon. Featured guest producers include Boston Music Award Nominee Ethan Dussalt (New Alliance Audio), Qwill, Sinclayr (Premises), and Lex Vega (Organ Beats).

“Don’t call it a laptop project. Hailing from the greater Boston area, rockers This Bliss fuse affinities for electronics and pure songwriting to form a future-forward sound. The shimmering, whirring track engulfs you in heavy electronica in a pop style similar to CHVRCHES but more atmospheric.” – Impose Magazine

“electronic version of Portishead’s Dummy with an anti-pop aura… As mesmerizing as any trip-hop and as listener-friendly as any pop, with Easter eggs of guitar driven rock hidden throughout, This Bliss are a truly unique and listenable trio with something for everyone.”  – Trevor McSweeney, Studio 52

Baggia and crew blend such U.K. styles as grime and trip hop with a film noir feel. Start with the track “Make It Real,” where Baggia’s cool vocals slink and sway over electro beats and tremolo guitar.” – Jed Gottlieb, Boston Herald

“finds a confident middle ground between shimmering electronic-pop and heavy-beat alt-R&B, and sets an intriguing tone” – Michael Marotta, Vanyaland
