Platinum-certified indie rock band The Rare Occasions proudly announce the release of their highly anticipated third LP, Through Moonshot Eyes, available everywhere on September 13, 2024. The 13-track album features a blend of introspective storytelling, powerful garage rock energy, and the band’s signature lush vocal harmonies.

Currently embarking on a national headlining tour, The Rare Occasions are riding the wave of excitement as they perform new material across the country including a sold-out packed house in Santa Ana, CA.

“Floating” stands as the focal track of Through Moonshot Eyes, encapsulating the band’s influences with its melancholy shoegaze-inspired sound. Featuring an orchestral arrangement by drummer Luke Imbusch and guest vocals from indie-pop singer BEL, the track delivers an emotional punch, enhanced by a stunning music video directed by Kenneth Bauer (which will premiere on September 14th). The video, set against a breathtaking desert landscape, deepens the narrative of loss and disconnection that echoes through the song.

Their first album as a trio, Big Whoop, made waves in 2021 and their 2016 song “Notion” became a viral sensation on TikTok, topping Spotify’s viral chart and landing on the Billboard alternative charts.
