The Flatliners - Cavalcade

Fat Wreck Chords

Members of the youngest band to ever sign to FAT are finally in their 30’s! If you guessed The Flatliners, you’re correct. Today, we get to roll out some pretty nifty news about their monumental album, Cavalcade. In celebration of it turning ten, we are not only reissuing it on color vinyl, but we are releasing two rare demos from that recording!

Over the course of their 17 year journey as a band THE FLATLINERS have covered an impressive amount of ground, cutting their teeth on aggressive ska/punk and eventually arriving at their current sound of incredibly nuanced, passionate, and heavy punk rock. The vehicle for this trek, and the one constant throughout, has been THE FLATLINERS’ proficient song writing. A couple years ago, THE FLATLINERS dug up some demos from the recording of The Great Awake and put them on a 7”. The EP went over so well, we decided to do the same thing with their follow-up – Cavalcade. Cavalcade Demos –#6 in the FAT ‘Original Demos’ series– gives fans a close and personal look into the song writing process that has made THE FLATLINERS one of the most consistent bands around. Hearing these early versions of “Bleed” and “He Was a Jazzman” will give fans a fresh perspective on the Cavalcade album as a whole. THE FLATLINERS fans are avid vinyl collectors and will be clamoring to get their hands on this limited one-time pressing.

Included in the download folder is the original album from 2010 as well as the two demos which appear on the new 7” version.
