From post-punk beginnings to melancholy daydreams, New Jersey based singer-songwriter, Dennis King AKA SONOFDOV (pronounced son of dove), writes hauntingly beautiful music. A 2016 NJ Folk Festival award recipient, King is able to straddle lines of folk, post-punk and indie to make a sound all his own. His homespun productions have been featured in films (Coyote, Wander), TV (PBS, Discovery) and frequently found on a number of Youtube playlists.

Battle Lines on Mint 400 Records, is a follow up to his well received 2019 LP release Towers. This time around, Battle Lines taps into our subconscious and confronts the battles that divide us, when we all want the same thing. Sonically, King continues to celebrate his DIY colors, with his “dreamlike” vocals and additional support from Knack Mastering to drive the songs into clarity.
