Red Sammy - Vultures
Red Sammy’s ‘Vultures’ is an introspective and laid-back poetic examination of life. – Americana UK (8/10)
Adam Trice is an American writer, singer, and songwriter from Baltimore, Maryland (USA) who founded the band, RED SAMMY in 2007. His unique songwriting and music style blends rock, folk, Americana, indie, and country with thoughtful, deeply emotional lyrics that highlight a poetic sensibility.
VULTURES is the ninth studio album from independent band, RED SAMMY. The songs were written by Trice during the global pandemic and quarantine of 2020/2021 and latch onto the themes of self- examination, angst, uncertainty…and eventually acceptance that everything is going to be alright. Trice’s diverse songwriting abilities range from the two-minute pop jam “Kerouac Revisions” (“complete with jangly guitars that would make the Jayhawks happy,” Independent Clauses) to dreamy rock guitar anthems in the tune, “The Weight the Kids Must Carry.”
This eight-song release features Bruce Elliott on electric guitar and slide guitar, Greg Humphreys on bass and backing vocals, David Pearl on drums, percussion, and backing vocals, and Adam Trice on acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and lead vocals.
