Niina Soleil - Heliophilia

Gourmet

Niina Soleil strikes a stunning balance between passion and tension on new single ‘Flowers On Fire,’ a straight-forward call-out towards a prospective lover, which lets them know that the ball is in their court to make a move in their blossoming romance.” – EARMILK

“Warm and hopeful, ‘Make It Summer’ is reminiscent of the adolescent search for freedom. Inspired by a desire to escape everyday routines, the track is the perfect ode to a season sandwiched between semesters and filled vacations and travels.” – The Luna Collective

“The dreamy new tune has a jazzy sensibility, with cyclical instrumentals and soft, silky vocal lines.” – Indie88

Niina Soleil is a songstress that embodies the California daydream. An epicurean of love and youth, her songs soundtrack the hazy drift and the nighttime excitement of 21st-century Los Angeles. These songs, being equal parts extroverted as they are introverted, provide the ideal inspiration to fall in love with love all over again this summer.

“With the folksy intuition of Joni Mitchell, the richly laid back pace of tempo of Fiona Apple or Rihanna (no doubt a contribution of London-based producer Fred Ball, who, too, worked closely with Rihanna), all with a near-Roy Orbison ache; her songs envelop you into her everglow. A California of the mind that borders nothing but ocean.” – The Big Takeover

On May 8th, the accumulation of this nostalgia will be released as her first full-length LP, Heliophilia. The album cover shows her awash in darkness while a spirited and passionate fire burns coolly behind her. Within, nine tracks are offered up; crafted from a life of love, travel, and homesickness. Here, Niina’s well-received past singles like “Lonely in Love” and “Make It  Summer” are made exciting bedfellows amongst brand new quick favorites like “Irish Goodbye”, “See Red”, and “Whiskey Valentine”; providing an eclectic collection of songs that  showcase Niina Soleil’s wide range of interests, styles, and abilities.

“All invention is reinvention,” Soleil says. This truth was never more evident than when  examining her latest works. The evolution of Niina’s music has culminated to Heliophilia, appropriate that it should come out in Spring. As the time for new awakenings arrives, Niina Soleil greets the new year with her own emergence from her chrysalis.
