JORDANN - Safe Space [EP]
JORDANN, a classically trained and self-produced Montréal-based artist, has captured the minds of an international fanbase with his vertical bedroom indie sound. The buzz moved from tastemaker champions (POLLEN, Bedroom Pop, Majestic Casual, 777tv), to frequent collaborators (Men I Trust, Tim Atlas, MUNYA) to the bustling comment sections of his self-directed, often tongue-in-cheek music videos.
Conceptually, JORDANN writes and sings about intimacy, apprehension, psychological health, and emotional constructs, but delivers the messages on a cloud, sometimes weaving English and French between verses. JORDANN crafted every corner of his debut EP Connecting Visitors to Fun with his signature dreamy aesthetic – an impressive 6-song effort exuding dreamy intimacy with its reverberating vocals, analog synths, dancy basslines, and syncopated guitars.
His new release, Safe Space, depicts the wonders of intimacy and how to effectively cultivate it. Through warm tones and syncopated structures (some of them produced by Men I Trust), JORDANN creates an inclusive space for communication, transparency and honesty.
