A Carousel Moon - Out Of Sequence [EP]
OUT OF SEQUENCE, A Carousel Moon’s second EP release with MINT400 Records in 2021 is an exploration of electronic beats and sounds infused with Jazz and Blues instrumentation and calming, fun vocals and samples to bring the music to tasteful, head bobbing energy. The duo of Michael Esserman and No Great Pretender are mixing new sounds and traditional instruments to create a vibe different from their first release FOXY VOL. 1 EP (May 2021). Not having your typical song structures, OUT OF SEQUENCE has four tracks with the longest one reaching nine minutes.
A Carousel Moon, made up of two lifelong friends Michael Esserman and Eric Sosler, is the newest project to take shape on the side of the band, The Racer. Sosler’s second side project following up last years No Great Pretender. This duo is committed to creating music in any genre that the two want to indulge in, including IndieDance, Electronic
Blues/Jazz, IndiePop, Instrumental Soundscapes, and anything else that is possible. Most groups or artists get “Identified” or “Categorized” with one genre and therefore the purpose of A Carousel Moon is to have that freedom of creating in the moment and having multiple identities or one can even say no particular identity.
Listeners will have to keep tuning in to each release to see what sound comes out next. Not worrying if one “Sound’s” followers will carry over with the next “Sound’s” followers gives off a sense of freedom that the two have never experienced. The brand is to just be good writers and musicians in whatever the genre of music comes out.
