Red Sammy - That Raging Heart

Self-Released

“Honest, slow-burn folk rock songs about heartbreak and the human condition.”

Adam Trice is an American writer, singer, and songwriter from Baltimore, MD who founded the band, Red Sammy. His unique songwriting style blends rock, folk, country, and blues with thoughtful, deeply emotional lyrics that highlight a poetic sensibility.

That Raging Heart is the eighth studio album release from independent band, Red Sammy. This time around singer/songwriter, Adam Trice, presents his unique style of lyric-driven tunes that live in the space between unrequited love and lonely heartbreak. Trice’s singing style (which ranges from angsty troubadour to front-porch, honey-coated crooner) blends extraordinarily well with the free and spirited electric guitar work of Bruce Elliott.

This nine-song release takes a step back from Red Sammy’s full rock n’ roll band presentation and embraces a less-is-more songwriting approach while maintaining a rich, full, and soulful sound. Notable songwriters of inspiration include: Alejandro Escovedo, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, Tom Waits, and many others.

Recorded and engineered by Scott Fish at Stable Studios in Chambersburg, PA. Mixed and mastered by Baltimore music staple, Dave Nachodsky (Invisible Sound Studios).

Red Sammy has performed shows with regional and national acts including: Mike Watt and the Missingmen, Deer Tick, Phosphorescent, Fly Golden Eagle, and Humminghouse.
