Trip Sitter - Then Again, It Never Was

Self-Released

Trip Sitter, an alternative rock group based in Boston, Massachusetts, is pleased to announce the release of their first full-length album, “Then Again, It Never Was.”

The band combines confessional lyrics ranging from whispers to belting crescendos and vocal harmonies; jangling interlocking guitar melodies; fuzzed-out chords; and psychedelic grooves, with influences ranging from emo (Sunny Day Real Estate, Death Cab for Cutie), to psychedelic rock (The Brian Jonestown Massacre), and shoegaze (Nothing, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart).

“I Love You All,” includes diary-like lyrics of self-loathing that hold the listener through seas of reverb-drenched clean guitar tones and wall-of-sound fuzz. It is like listening to a song come together and fall apart over and over again, while the soft vocal harmonies and driving groove remind you that the melodic structure remains through all of the feedback. A cycle of splitting and returning mirrored in the lyrics.
