The Rose Hips - Into The Garden [EP]

The Rose Hips are a new LA-based duo composed of two up-and-coming musicians Michael Marguet (of Arms Akimbo) and Dane Schumaker. The group started teasing their lead single ‘Spacey’ last summer and its jangly, addictive guitar line quickly garnered early attention from TikTok users wantonly demanding a release date and the major label A&Rs chasing a new signing. Despite the early attention, Michael and Dane took a beat, hunkered down with Sam Cohen in upstate New York, and completed their debut EP for release this summer. The band is trying to revamp the music they fall in love with from Wilco, The War On Drugs, and Kurt Vile through a modern lens, delivering a project that harkens back to The OC soundtrack but also feels at home with younger generations following Royel Otis and Spacey Jane. Key DSPs like Spotify, Apple, and Amazon are already lined up to support and there will be significant investment in creator marketing campaigns across TikTok and other platforms.
