The Rose Hips - Into The Garden [EP]

The Rose Hips is the LA-based indie rock duo of vocalist Dane Schumacher and guitarist Michael Gryffin, who both grew up in Woodside, California before making their way to Los Angeles in their early-20s to pursue music. After years navigating the LA scene, the two bonded over a shared love of classic rock, folk, and modern pop – a blend that now defines their sound: rich harmonies, timeless songwriting, and a modern alternative edge. Their debut single “Spacey,” written during the very first session they ever had together, became a viral moment for the band – a nostalgic, sun-warmed track that builds from sparse, sentimental guitar into breezy, surf-rock hooks. It was followed shortly after by “The Sound,” offering an early glimpse of a sound that feels fully formed right out of the gate.
