"The members of The Old Glorys hail from Kentucky and New Jersey. Their recent album, “Brunswick Street Demos”, is out on Mint 400 Records. They had a successful 2 week tour around the south and recently got back from SXSW. Americana at their best, but true ingenuity spews out of their story-telling and harmonies. The opening track leaves you with an honest chorus and syrupy-sweet lead vocals, “Said I want to go to heaven, but I don’t wanna dig my grave”- pure genius. “Ride it Out” is more twang than alternative, and the harmonica used mid-song brings life to an otherwise typical singer-songwriter tune. “For My Love” is a quaint reflection on love and the concept of relational warmth, filled with luscious, alt-pop harmonies. “Drivin You” uncannily sounds like She minus the Him, but with a pinch of banjo and fiddle, “I am driver on a mission and am speeding right along and my road is paved with good intentions. I’ll burn these tires until you are gone….” “With Time” is one of the many spiritually-reflective toe-tappers on the album. A blues jazz-festival of harmonies, “Blow Wind Blow,” is the album-catcher. Words of advice: play the last song first, the second to last song next, and so on and so on, to get maximum ear pleasure." - The Records Rebellion

Some additional info: Produced and recorded in a closed down record store on Brunswick street in Jersey City, NJ by the band and label owner Neil Sabatino.  Tree (Melissa Jackson) formerly of the Mint 400 band Any Day Parade along with members of Mint 400 band The Ashes form this super group along with some other friends. At some points this band has had up to 8 people on stage at a time to produce their down home style of alt. country. Every performance they have given in the NJ area has been over capacity shows with enthusiastic crowds singing every word. The band has members spread out in Kentucky and New Jersey but have been able to get together to tour and even made their way down to SXSW this year and had some very successful showcases.
