The High Lines - It All Comes Crashing Down [EP]
Emerging from the vibrant Boulder music scene, The High Lines blend indie rock energy with pop-driven melodies that have quickly captured the attention of the local community. Formed in 2022 by Thomas Corbett (vocals/bass), Logan Proffitt and Matt Jones (guitar), and Connor Loftin (drums), the band got their start playing packed house shows on “The Hill” and are regulars at iconic Colorado venues like the Fox Theatre, Globe Hall, Aggie Theater and Lost Lake Lounge.
Their sound is inspired by a number of diverse influences—the alternative fury of Smashing Pumpkins, the storytelling of The Backseat Lovers, the shimmering shoegaze of Softcult, and the melodic charm of Peach Pit, with underlying blues and rock foundations inspired by John Mayer, Jimi Hendrix and Fleetwood Mac. This vibrant synthesis translates into a sound that’s both nostalgic and refreshingly modern.
Since their debut single “Disco” in 2022, The High Lines have been building momentum with a series of fan-favorite releases. Singles like “Fake”, “Getaway Driver” (2023), “Twenty-Three” and “Coming Down” (2024) showcased their evolving sound, culminating in a 4-song EP “It All Comes Crashing Down” (2024). Of their most recent single, Radio 1190 praised their ability to “fuse heartfelt lyrics with soaring indie-rock melodies”, while Indie 102.3 highlighted their “high-energy, infectiously upbeat stage presence”.
The band has shared the stage with several notable acts, including The Wrecks, Brigitte Calls Me Baby, and Illuminati Hotties, while building a dedicated following that’s grown to nearly 50,000 TikTok followers.
