The Bitter Chills - Young Time Rock N' Roll

North Jersey’s The Bitter Chills are back with their third release on Mint 400 Records, Young Time Rock N’ Roll.

If you haven’t made their acquaintance, The Bitter Chills are three very sweet guys who dress nicely, read books, and call their parents regularly. They also make melody-driven songs that combine a love of Americana and classic pop that call to mind Ryan Adams, The Decemberists, and The Lumineers.

The result is catchyroots rock (or maybe it’s energetic indie folk) with clever lyrics that display a sly sense of humor in the vein of Fountains of Wayne and Ben Folds.

“We titled this album Young Time Rock N’ Roll as a tribute to the British Invasion rock, 80s post-punk, and old-school Americana we all love,” said singer and chief songwriter Matt Cheplic. “Also, I stumbled upon this great photo of three young kids that we just had to use as the cover.”
