Million Year Picnic - Dinosaur

Formed in 2024 by former members of Pioneer the Eel, Million Year Picnic is an instrumental quartet from Boonton, NJ known for crafting expansive, immersive soundscapes. Co-founders and former circus performers Wayne Green (bass) and Craig Monaco (guitar) began developing material with longtime collaborator Sky Luna (drums/percussion), resulting in their debut album Dinosaur. Originally intended as a studio project, the music’s cinematic scope and otherworldly textures compelled the group to expand the lineup and bring their vision to the stage.

To complete the ensemble, the band recruited keyboardist Adam Bird (Those Mockingbirds, ABird), whose melodic intuition and flair for the theatrical added depth and atmosphere, and percussionist Anthony Freda (Please Be Careful, Cat London, The Nightly Noodle), whose precision and creativity proved to be the missing piece. Now fully formed, Million Year Picnic is ready to perform anywhere electric outlets are available. The band seamlessly takes pieces of Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Tortoise and Explosions In The Sky to create a unique atmospheric blend of original instrumental music. Their debut album Dinosaur was be released April 25th on Mint 400 Records and is available on all major streaming platforms.
