Lilly Hart - Butterflies Start to Sting [EP]
There comes a moment in every artist’s journey when the music becomes more than self-expression — it becomes a shared language, delivered with a voice uniquely suited to carry its weight. For 22-year-old Lilly Hart, that moment arrived quietly and powerfully. With a sound that floats across genres and a voice that glides instead of belts, Hart crafts melody-driven songs rooted in emotional honesty and lyrical depth, making her one of the most compelling new voices in alt-pop.
Originally from Atlanta, Hart began writing songs during COVID at age 17 while on a basketball scholarship in Birmingham, Alabama — where early support from Birmingham Mountain Radio helped launch her career. Her debut EP earned over 400,000 streams, and she soon found herself opening for acts like St. Paul and the Broken Bones and performing in legendary venues from the Bluebird Cafe to Hotel Café.
Now based in Nashville and studying Commercial Songwriting at MTSU, Hart has collaborated with writers and producers like Mokita (NEEDTOBREATHE, Caleb Hearn, Mat Kearney), A.B. Eastwood (Kodak Black, Denzel Curry), Laiko (Medium Build), Dominic Martinez, and Katie Pruitt. Her upcoming EP, Butterflies Start To Sting, showcases her signature blend of atmospheric production, haunting melodies, and lyrics that feel like long-held secrets finally spoken aloud.
With a recent ESPN sync placement, standout singles like “Why” and “Blue,” and a growing presence in rooms where songs that matter get written, Lilly Hart is proving that vulnerability — when paired with vision — leaves a lasting mark.
