Fake History
Epitaph
ADDS 4/5/11
DIGITAL ONLY

letlive. mix elements of punk, hardcore, and even jazz in their sound, a melting pot of influences that reflects the melting-pot Los Angeles neighborhoods in which the band came together. For their Epitaph debut, Fake History, letlive. showcase this eclecticism, from the haunting piano breakdown on “Muther” to the soul-inflected thrash of “Day 54.” Inheritors of maverick hardcore bands like Refused, At the Drive In, and the Deftones, letlive. have captured Los Angeles audiences with their gripping live shows and driving self-released recordings; now they set their sights on the wider world.

After a February European tour, letlive. returned to the states for spring tours with Architects and Norma Jean.

letlive’s Epitaph debut adds three new tracks to the limited-release original version of Fake History, including “This Mime [A Sex Symbol]” produced by Bad Religion’s Brett Gurewitz.
