Latvian Radio

Brand new album and follow up to power pop gem KILL THE STATIC.
"Smart, mellifluously melodic candy" - Jack Rabid, The Big Takeover
LATVIAN RADIO has crafted their own brand of lyrically charged and sonically intelligent indie-power pop for the better part of a decade.
Amplifier Magazine labeled their songs - "Music as both entertainment and art. Truly the best variety."
They have been a mainstay on college radio for years and their last record "Kill The Static" made some major noise in the power pop community and ended up on many best album of the year lists in 2012.
"A joyous power pop delight" - Absolute Powerpop
FOR LOVE & SPITE picks up where "Kill The Static" left off but is a bit more direct and abrasive with some elements of punk and soul.
The press has linked them to the likes of Elvis Costello & the Attractions, the Replacements, the Shins, Big Star, the Decemberists, Brendan Benson and early REM.
After releasing three solo albums NY based singer/songwriter PATRIC WESTOO, teamed up with longtime Morgantown, WV friends Kim Monday (Frozen Sounds studios) and Mark Poole (63 Eyes and Phantom 6) to form THE B-SIDES in 2002. They released "Troubleshooting" in 2003.
Shortly after they changed their name to LATVIAN RADIO and added Adam Jones on drums and Dilip Chandran on bass. They released "Happiness Above A Hardwood Floor", "Seven Layers Of Self Defense" and "Kill The Static" over the next few years. All to critical acclaim.
The extended Latvian Radio family also includes Patrick Derivaz (Television, Tom Verlaine), Jason Victor (Dream Syndicate, Steve Wynn) and Alex Baker (Skull Practitioners).
