Honey Child‘s Claire McKeown and her angel choir have a new soul-soothing cocoon of a song for those suffering from politically induced anxiety. She says, “Last November was a tough month for all. We collectively sunk into a pretty negative and fearful state. I went pretty darn low and this song broke me out of that dark prison. While slipping into the possibilities of where the blatant hate in this country can reach, this beautiful complex song fell out of me, to remind that ‘there’s only one way out, and that’s through it. - Buzzbands
Honey Child is a chamber pop choir – alternately referred to as a Heroine Folk project – from Los Angeles, led by opera singer Claire McKeown and featuring Claire Boutelle, Aimee Jacobs, Danielle Mandell, Dayna Richards, Jacquelyn Sky, and Cynthia Zitter. Originally formed as a cathartic place to let go of the pains of a slaughtered heart, Honey Child became a transformative creative endeavor filled with beauty and harmony. If that doesn’t pique your interest, I don’t know what will. We are thrilled to premiere a brand new song “Run With Me” today on GroundSounds. The track is from their self-titled debut album out Feb 9. It’s so incredibly refreshing to step out of what you might normally hear in your day to day music routine and allow Honey Child to completely fascinate and transport you. “Run With Me” is the perfect example of this…enjoy! - Ground Sounds 
Los Angeles-based Chamber Pop choir Honey Child will release their self-titled debut on February 9th through Aeronaut Records. The 9-song album was recorded at the legendary EastWest Studios in the famed Studio 3 where The Beach Boys helmed their storied Pet Sounds...Opera singer bandleader Claire McKeown recruited six other female vocalists to build the band, and conducted and arranged most of the album as well as co-producing it. She also enlisted some amazing instrumental contributors including Sasami Ashworth (Cherry Glazerr) on French horn, Anna Bulbrook (The Airborne Toxic Event) and Dre Babinski (Steady Holiday) on violins, Daniel Brummel (Nada Surf, Weezer) on double bass, and acoustic guitar from Rolfe Kent, composer of many Alexander Payne films including Sideways and Downsizing. The final product is an album that combines majestic, lavish harmonies with a flair for the surreal. - Broadway World 
Pet Sounds has influenced me by showing me that you can create music that is beautiful, melodic, and also push your listener into a musical world that is deeper and more challenging than most pop music. As a classical musician, this is very important to me. I must be honest that I still don’t know what key “God Only Knows” is in. Brian Wilson seems to be hiding the tonal center, and just when you think you know where you are, he throws you into a different world with no reasoning of how you even got there. This mystery is what keeps me obsessed. This said, you can just let go of your mind and bask in the beauty of the melody. - CLAIRE MCKEOWN OF HONEY CHILD
