FUTURE PERFECT SOUND - Everybody's Going Nowhere Fast [EP]

Self-Released

Everybody’s Going Nowhere Fast is the debut EP from FUTURE PERFECT SOUND.

US/UK band FUTURE PERFECT SOUND formed online during the pandemic after meeting at Berklee College of Music. The EP tracks were recorded entirely through remote sessions.

Their new pop sound infused with styles like blues-rock, funk and disco quickly caught the attention of BBC radio in 2021. Their track Got Nothin’ To Prove featured on the UK national show, BBC6 Introducing Mixtape with Tom Robinson. The band also appeared on BBC Introducing’s Best of 2021 list. BBC Introducing is the UK’s leading radio platform for emerging talent.

Like any release, songs are a document of time. The EP’s inspiration came from a theme of looking at the changes we can all experience in life. Most of the songs are observing people as they undertake those challenges.

Everybody’s Going Nowhere Fast opens with Got Nothin’ To Prove, inspired by Netflix’s Umbrella Academy character, Vanya Hargreeves.

Got Nothin’ To Prove is about recognizing your flaws as a human being and using these to your strength, almost like a super power; how you deal with failure, resilience, going against a defined path and flipping difficult experiences into positive ones. Just really going after what is true to you.”

FUTURE PERFECT SOUND are currently working on their first full length album for release later this year.
