The Wondrous Folly of Vaughn Frogg by Edward Herda is an Indie Songwriter record with a real southern edge.” - Michael Rickert, Cincinnati Music Examiner

“I can’t say enough good things about this album. These songs stick with you in the best way. The melodies are the type that you keep humming, the artistry keeps you listening, and the stories make you want to hear them again and again.” - iTunes Review

Edward is not your conventional musician or singer/songwriter; he took the long, hard road to get here. A highly creative spirit, he was once a stand-up comedian, performer and writer in an international commedia dell’arte troupe and creative director. But one day after a heart-wrenching breakup, he pulled a Jerry Maguire, left his illustrious career and fled to the desert with his instruments. There he wrote and recorded the initial demos for what would become his first record “The Wondrous Folly of Vaughn Frogg.” And in that small motel room, he figured out what the heck he was gonna’ do with his life — or at least what he would fight for: music.

As an honest storyteller, Edward places his own stories into his songs — stories that we can all relate to: Love, loss, religion, despair and our never-ending quest for the meaning of life. His live shows, too, involve storytelling that go beyond simply singing songs. His goal is to connect with each audience member; to make them feel something beyond humming along to a tune; to make them feel that it’s not just his show but it’s theirs, too.

The Wondrous Folly of Vaughn Frogg” is an independent release. Edward and his producer, Max Allyn, play all the instruments, with the exception of female vocals (that would be tough), dobro and the accordion. Edward Herda is from Northern California and currently lives on the sunny shores of Santa Monica.

The album is a full, linear story. A concept? ...........................................................Maybe.
