Cheekface - Don't Ask [EP]

Self-Released

Don’t worry––despite how the last few months have felt more like years, Cheekface hasn’t forgotten you.

Following the August release of their latest album Too Much To Ask and its celebratory sold-out release parties in NYC and LA, the trio returns with Don’t Ask, a three-song b-sides collection, out everywhere now. The Needle Drop called Too Much to Ask “handily one of the best rock records I’ve heard in 2022,” and this companion EP keeps the energy and wit of the album, but with some longer instrumental excursions tucked in too. Standout “If I Catch on Fire Please Put Me Out” has the humor that its title suggests, and musically it draws on new wave influences like Joe Jackson and Oingo Boingo.

Cheekface plays a short tour supporting Jeff Rosenstock in January, followed by an appearance at Lincoln Hall in Chicago as part of the Tomorrow Never Knows festival January 19, and a headline tour in March and April with Sad Park as support with stops around the US plus Montreal and Toronto.
