Chapel - Modern Nature

Self-Released

Chapel is a Nashville-based two-piece carving their own lane at the crossroads of nostalgic indie and modern pop. Formed in 2016 by Carter Hardin (vocals, keys, guitar) and Kortney Grinwis (drums), the band made an early splash with their debut EP Sunday Brunch in 2017, touring alongside artists like WaterparksSleeping with Sirens3OH!3, and Good Charlotte.

After releasing the fan favorite single “Friends” in 2019, Chapel faced an unexpected pause when the pandemic hit — shelving their planned record and forcing a creative reset. What followed was years away from the road, spent rediscovering what Chapel truly wanted to say and sound like.

Emerging with Modern Nature (2025), their first full-length album, Chapel fused their love of bright, left-of-center 2000s indie — think MGMTGrouplovePassion Pit — with sleek, hook-driven pop melodies. Produced alongside Michael Guillot, the record captures the spark of starting over without expectation: raw, colorful, and true to who they’ve become.

Now, after years of highs, hurdles, and reinvention, Chapel is back making music that feels both familiar and brand new.
