Ceramic Animal - Cosmic Eraser

Self-Released

Ceramic Animal is thrilled to announce the release of their highly anticipated fifth album, Cosmic Eraser, available everywhere now. Written by Chris Regan and Anthony Marchione, produced and mixed by Chris Regan, and featuring album art from the band’s longtime friend Harry Slater, this record signals a bold yet familiar return to the sounds that made Ceramic Animal a force in modern psychedelia.

Following their critically acclaimed collaboration with Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach for their fourth album, “Sweet Unknown,” Ceramic Animal experienced a period of intense growth and learning. Working with Auerbach at the iconic Easy Eye Sound studio in Nashville was transformative, challenging the band to distill their sound and refine their storytelling. This collaboration was a pivotal moment, marking a shift in their creative process and approach to music making.

Emboldened by this experience their newly announced 5th album signifies a return to their roots—sonically revisiting the glam and psychedelic influences that initially defined them, infused with the maturity and depth garnered from their Nashville journey.

Recorded in a secluded cabin in Nashville, Indiana, overlooking Lake Monroe, Cosmic Eraser is infused with the magic of its natal surroundings. The experience drew on lessons learned from collaborating with Dan Auerbach on Sweet Unknown while embracing a newfound freedom to create on their own terms.

“We’ve always been about making music we’d want to hear,” Chris Regan reflects. “This time, we just had more tools, more experience, and a little more confidence to lean into what makes us unique. Cosmic Eraser feels like us—completely and unapologetically.”
