Dana Why - All Good Right Spirits [EP]

Dana Why is the musical alias of Dana Yurcisin, NJ-born and bred singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. A maximalist at heart, his productions are brimming with experimentation that span genres, while retaining the strong melodic foundations of pop. Having self-recorded and released four albums and two EPs between 2009 and 2019 under the name Static Sex, Yurcisin retired the name and began releasing music under his own name in 2020, with the albums The Lyre in 2023, Skull Sprung A Leak in 2024, & The Cracked Hand in 2025.

Dana’s latest, ALL GOOD RIGHT SPIRITS, is a 3-song suite of indie rock bliss. Freed from the pressures of making another “grand statement” LP, he uses the shorter runtime to tighten up and spotlight the pop song-craft that’s always been at the heart of his writing. Textured, guitar-heavy production buoys hooks about love’s highs, lows, & confusing middle in songs bursting with emotion, proving that he doesn’t need longer runtimes to reach the same operatic heights as his previous work.
