Brian Erickson - Everyday Forever

Mint 400

In 2018, The Paper Jets closed their career with Everyday Forever and a farewell show at the legendary Asbury Lanes. But three years earlier, on modest home equipment, frontman Brian Erickson (The Extensions, The Hard Maybes, Briana Musco) had already quietly recorded the entire album on his own.

Everyday Forever (Brian’s Version) finally unveils those 2015 solo recordings. Performed, arranged, and produced entirely by Erickson, the album plays as a single, uninterrupted performance from start-to-finish. The effect underscores Erickson’s gift for pacing and sequencing; a songwriter who still sees albums as whole statements.

Whether it’s the buoyant “Wonderful Love,” the timelessly catchy “Say I Can,” which The Big Takeover called “one of the finest songs of its era,” or the picaresque, Elvis Presley-via-Bill Hicks-inspired “Charlie it Can’t Be Done,”  Everyday Forever (Brian’s Version) shows Erickson at the peak of his powers, showing a remarkable amount of vision and proving that even his demos carry ambition and weight.
