Timmy Skelly - Meet Me In Nowhere Land [EP]

Neon Gold/Futures

I am a hopeless romantic. I love the past. I love tossing a golden filter on my youth and soaking up the simpler times. I don’t miss them, but I appreciate them. I’m especially interested in this somewhat corny sentiment of living in the moment, of applying that golden filter of nostalgia onto our present. Why can’t right now be the best moment of our lives, why can’t this Friday night out in the same small town become a night we’ll never forget? That is the crux of Nowhere Land. A place that exists outside of reality, a day dream of an existence, one step left of center. A chosen naïveté, a simple break, a game of tag or softball or cards. A weekend in the woods, a day at the lake, a picnic in a field. What if that world was available forever? What if we could create that world somewhere in the foothills? Like minded individuals coming together to live in the moment, to love and cry and talk deeply and candidly. To unplug and play, create, listen and admire.
That’s impossible right? Maybe not…
Meet Me in Nowhere Land. –
Timmy Skelly

Rising artist Timmy Skelly recently revealed “QB1”, the third track off his upcoming sophomore Meet Me In Nowhere Land EP (pre-save link) to be released on January 23rd, 2026. He previously released the bold new tracks “Nowhere Land” and “Summer of ‘16” following his breakout Dive Bar Sermon EP, which landed him on the Boston Calling and Wonderfront stages and tours with Jimmy Eat World, Wilderado, Evan HonerRichy Mitch & The Coal Miners, plus a spot on the coveted Bonnaroo festival lineup.

Produced with Noah Ehler (Kendrick Lamar, Quadeca, Kevin Abstract) and mixed by Nathan Boddy (Black Country New Road, Nilufer Yanya, Georgie Greep, Olivia Dean), Skelly’s “QB1” walks a line between Indie Twang and pop Americana sensibilities. Timmy finds himself nestled amongst Noah Kahan and MJ Lenderman, a formidable songwriter with a penchant for romanticizing the middle American wasteland and its people with melodies for the masses, coming out via Live2 and Neon Gold Records HERE.

He describes his self-appointed genre “Midwest Y’allternative” as “a bit of everything I grew up on, including cornfields, lakefronts, my Dad’s red ‘79 Volkswagen bug playing Tom Petty and country radio, tall tales by the firepit, Friday night football, whispered prayers, frozen kisses and the smell of Halloween.”

On his debut Dive Bar Sermon EP, Timmy Skelly collaborated with James Flannigan (Matt Maeson, Carly Rae Jepsen, Kodaline, etc) and with Noah Ehler (Quadeca, Kendrick Lamar, Laufey, Hailey Knox) to build upon his epic songwriting. Especially the collaboration on “Come on Diana” with Flannigan is gripping; manifesting his dream partner out on the open road over infectious Grouplove melodies and sun-soaked Midwest Americana guitars. Timmy says: “I’ve learned a lot while working in bars. I’ve learned even more while drinking in bars. This record is for all those lessons, those “sermons” from the good book of the neon church. Best enjoyed with a cold beverage or a long cool drive.”
