Destructo Disk - Bad Gravity
Destructo Disk is Gideon Kupka (Guitar/Vocals), Daniel Roff (Drums), and Molly Gordon (Bass/Vocals), three punks hailing from Winchester, Virginia who are more punk than you. So punk in fact they wrote a record all about friendship and the power of love called Bad Gravity that will be released on May 20th via their own DIY label Sockhead Records. The album was produced by Will Beasley (Turnstile, The Dangerous Summer) and in front person Gideon Kupka’s words is “A liminal space punk rock opera. Our magnum opus”.
Named after comedic relief Dragon Ball Z character Krillin’s signature attack, Destructo Disk formed in 2016 and released their first full length album Punk Rocks For Kids Who Can’t Skate in 2018. Fast forward to 2020 when the world took a deep dive into chaos, Punk Rocks For Kids Who Can’t Skate found an audience on Tik Tok where the band’s songs “Cops / Dogs” and “I Wish I Was A Riot Grrrl” went viral, gaining them tens of thousands of uses on the platform and millions of streams around the world. Since then, the band has sold out headline shows in the Richmond area, headlined the 25th annual Macrock Festival, and supported artists like Mannequin Pussy, Destroy Boys, and more.
