Produced by Adam Lasus (Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Yo La Tengo), Divorce Pop is the full-length debut of Son of Stan, the unique solo vehicle of songwriter Jordan Richardson (former drummer for Ben Harper and the Relentless Seven and Ringo Starr). Divorce Pop wraps wry lyricism in psychedelic hooks and the airtight grooves of vintage synth-rock, creating a sound that’s simultaneously nostalgic and futuristic. It’s the sound of a dance party in a dying mall, or a discotheque of 2020, if it had been dreamt up in 1990.
