Wildling

LA-based alt-rock outfit Wildling have released their EP here via Warner Bros. Records. The EP, produced by the GRAMMY® Award-winning Joe Chiccarelli [The Strokes, The Killers, Elton John, Young The Giant] and Alex Salibian [Harry Styles, Elle King], serves as the band’s official major label debut, and features upbeat foot- stomper "Leavin'," the surf guitar rustle of "Lilywhite," and the infectious soon-to-be-released track that started it all for the band - "Hummingbird."

Having already grown deep musical roots in L.A., vocalist Ryan Levine and keyboardist Andrew Ampaya set the foundation for Wildling when they joined forces to record the song “Hummingbird.” After meeting Erik Janson at the prestigious ASCAP Lester Still workshop and bonding over their shared influences, Ryan recruited Janson and brother Justin Levine as guitarist and bassist, respectively, and Wildling was born. “It really was that song that helped us become this band,” explains Ryan. “From that moment forward, it just all clicked into place and we set to work making the music we wanted to be making. We’re so lucky to have come together when we did.”

With “Hummingbird” as a launch pad, things clicked into place pretty quickly for Wildling, as their lineup solidified for their debut performance at The Satellite, which landed them a coveted one-month residency with the venue and earned them a rabid local following. Within a year, Wildling secured several high-profile syncs with Donna Karan, EA Sports, and ABC’s Nashville and accompanied Young the Giant on their North American run, before inking with Warner Bros. Records earlier this year.
