"Don’t call it a laptop project. Hailing from the greater Boston area, rockers This Bliss fuse affinities for electronics and pure songwriting to form a future-forward sound. The shimmering, whirring track engulfs you in heavy electronica in a pop style similar to CHVRCHES but more atmospheric." - Impose Magazine

"At this late date, it’s near impossible to invent a new genre. Enter This Bliss and what frontwoman Jess Baggia calls “true grime.” On the band’s debut disc, Forensic Styles (out Sept. 14), Baggia and crew blend such U.K. styles as grime and trip hop with a film noir feel. Start with the track “Make It Real,” where Baggia’s cool vocals slink and sway over electro beats and tremolo guitar." -Jed Gottlieb, Boston Herald

"[This Bliss] have lived up to the early promise and hype with another strong single called “Believe.” The track finds a confident middle ground between shimmering electronic-pop and heavy-beat alt-R&B, and sets an intriguing tone for This Bliss’ debut album, titled Forensic Styles and billed as “a cinematic dreamscape that explores the world of trip-hop and electronica—through the lens of a crime novelist.” - Michael Marotta, Vanyaland

Formed by Nick Zampiello (Party Bois), owner of New Alliance East Mastering in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and singer-songwriter and Boston favorite, Jess Baggia (Man Trouble), This Bliss marries Zampiello’s affinity for drum machines and synthesizers with Baggia’s pop-songwriter sensibility to create noir-inspired electronic songs. “Believe,” the first single off the record, is a sultry homage to post-punk, but rivals any contemporary radio hit with bursts of shimmering synths and anthemic hook.

Forensic Styles will be released on September 14th in partnership with Mint 400 Records. The band will celebrate the release on September 15 at the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge, MA, followed by shows in New Jersey and New York City.

• Two-time Boston Music Award-winner Nick Zampiello has produced and engineered for the Dropkick Murphys, Paul Kolderie, Will Daily, and Eugene Mirman. He has mixed and mastered for Sub Pop, RCA, and Sony, among others.

Jess Baggia is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist living and working in Cambridge, MA. Prior to creating This Bliss, she released four albums—two solo and two with rock band, Man Trouble.

Tom Maroon is a guitarist, singer/songwriter, radio host, and studio manager of WEMF Radio (based in Boston, MA). In addition to This Bliss, he writes and performs in Man Trouble, Celebutant, and solo.
