The Crookes have always been well read and versed in tales of love and the space in-between, but with Lucky Ones they prove they are dreamers who resonate more with a life well lived. Aesthetically drenched in color, guitarist Daniel Hopewell's lyrics are forever awash with imagery, as bassist George Waite's dulcet, honey-toned vocals opens up the emotions that come gushing out. Joined by guitarist Tom Dakin and newcomer, Adam Crofts on drums, The Crookes embody the adage that true expression only exists in a world of words said, adventures had, and change embraced.

The first single from the album, "I Wanna Waste My Time On You", arrived in October, debuting at #1 on the FMQB SubModern chart. The Line Of Best Fit said of track, "Its enchanting, distorted refrains build into a pop chorus purpose-built to sweep you off your feet."

The Crookes last performed in North America at the CMJ Music Marathon in 2014, leading The New York Times to say, "The Crookes prize taut song construction; reaching back along the rock timeline, toward The Beatles by way of The Smiths. Their tactics were old-fashioned, but the youthful fervor was real," and Paste to state, "The first track reeled me in, but it was the Sheffield band's lyricism that held my attention for the rest of the set." A return to North America will be announced in the coming weeks.

Lucky Ones will be in stores January 29!
