Crash landing on Planet New Jersey in 2014, Spowder spent years behind the control panels, self-releasing singles, demos, and EPs, but now, they are finally ready to launch their debut full length – Health Palm. Recorded live, this grungy, airtight take on punk rock is an explosion of dark matter that has propelled Spowder to share the stage with bands like Speedy Ortiz, Perfect Pussy, and Screaming Females and left crowds wondering – who are these kids?!

Drummer, Jenna Fairey, and bassist, Gillian Smith, started playing together at the age of 17, forming the innovative yet rock solid backbone behind Spowder’s chaotic sound. Think Greg Norton and Grant Hart of Husker Du. This, layered with guitarist Jamie Houghton’s bouncy riffs a la Ricky Wilson of the B52s, and singer Declan McCleary’s Iggy-inspired howls, Spowder’s self-coined “swamp rock” is one-of-a-kind.
