In true indie rock fashion, New Brunswick, NJ’s Sink Tapes release music at an extremely fast clip. They have put out five full lengths and a handful of EPs and singles since 2010. Coming off last year’s superb Touchdown BuffaloSink Tapes returned with their best album yet, Creases, which reached #168 on the CMJ charts. Not even a month has gone by and the band already has released three new songs, which for limited time are available for free download at http://sinktapes.bandcamp.com. A thank you to fans for the level of support they have shown for Creases, and a precursor of new music to come. The band authentically captures the romanticism of ‘80s college rock, recalling The Cure at their peppiest if they had Peter Buck (R.E.M.) on guitar and Jim Reid (Jesus and Mary Chain) on vocals. The driving bass of Thomas Dalzell and the propulsive drumming of Gabriel Chiarello, who also happens to be the lead vocalist, propels the twin jangle of guitarists Ricky Kuczynski and Alex KielmanskiSink Tapes will astound you again with this new single Plastic Lover and will make you wonder how they manage to create so much music that is so good!
