Rocky and The Chapter return with their third EP, You Are Not Mine, capturing the band in a slightly more raw state of mind, a perfect match for the EPs mid-fi sound. First track “Cracks” combines the beautiful disenchantment of the Gin Blossoms with the primal swing of the Fall and Slanted and Enchanted-era Pavement. “Diet Coke” recalls the maturity of Very Emergency Promise Ring while “Lucky 13” finds a mind-blowing middle ground between Bleed American Jimmy Eat World and the ripping guitar power of Iron Maiden. “Talk Small” epically closes out another great collection of songs.

Rocky’s earworm melodies are perfectly balanced by the hard driving, thunderous attack of the Chapter. If you’re a fan of the power of rock music, You Are Not Mine is an EP you need in your life.
