The Riverbreaks is an Americana/pop band based in Washington, D.C. After forming in 2009, their second album, Wildfire, produced by Chris Stamey (the dBs, Yo La Tengo, The Rosebuds, Whiskeytown) is set to be released in early 2013.  
The Riverbreaks formed when Ryan (vocals), returning from the Peace Corps with dozens of songs written in the Central American jungle, reconnected with Jesse (guitar) and Andrew (keyboard), members of his college band at UNC Chapel Hill. Neela (violin) and Drew (bass) joined later, and the band has since built a strong D.C. area fan base while touring regionally.
Like the music, the band’s songs and lyrics reflect journeys and geographies, resulting in a sound that is uniquely Southern, yet globally influenced.
