The trio, comprised of Baker, guitarist Chris Diken, and drummer/backup singer Robbie Guertin (formerly of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah) has roots in a five-piece band called Uninhabitable Mansions. Down-sizing suited the Dads well. They put rock-god galvanism into the context of cramped DIY venues, not unlike their northeastern cohorts Cloud Nothings and So So Glos. Surf-rock guitars abound. "In The Water" makes such a good argument for blending contamination and fun that no one would blame you for bringing a towel and an umbrella to the Gowanus Canal. - Pitchfork

I’ve covered my fair share of ornate, studio-crafted fare as of late, and Radical Dads prove again the feral, unwitting charms of immediacy and rawness. Completely lacking a bass and with seemingly no more than a single, shitty, duct-taped amp, howler and one-half of the axe lineup, Lindsay Baker, drills her primordial angst straight to your brain all the while strangling the nervous energy from her guitar alongside axe twin Chris Diken. – Line of Best Fit
Brooklyn’s DIY flag-waving indie rock juggernaut Radical Dads are back with pop-hooks ablaze. The trio—ex-Clap Your Hands Say Yeah drummer/singer Robbie Guertin and guitarist/vocalist double threat Lindsay Baker and Chris Diken—have assumed their rightful place on the about-to-blow-up Old Flame Records, joining its hydrant of catchy-as-heck basement-punkers like Shark?, Potty Mouth, and Mean Creek.
