Ryan Yoker's melodic classic rock packs the grit of early Stones and The Band with the bravado of the Kinks and early 90's Britpop to create some truly memorable songs.” - Jamie Greer | Windsor Independent

“Influenced by 90’s Brit-rock, think Stone Roses meets Oasis, however Ryan adds plenty of his own flourishes to the album to differentiate R.Y.E. from being carbon copies of them.” - Lazlo | Blow Up Radio

Ryan Yoker, the songwriter from Windsor, Ontario first signed to Mint 400 Records in 2009 with his Brit-rock group Bombs and after 2 successful EP’s formed the solo project R.Y.E. by 2011. The first R.Y.E. album had been a somewhat subdued version of what Bombs was doing but as Yoker continued to write and fleshed out what he wanted the band to be he came up with the early versions of what is contained on the Neighbours EP. Through many lineup changes and overseas trips to record in Scotland it seems Yoker has finally discovered his sound. A mix of 60’s garage rock, modern indie, 90’s Brit-rock and a little bit of Detroit swagger in the vein of Jack White and that makes sense since R.Y.E. played some of their first shows just over the border in Detroit. Produced by Joel Bruyere of Thousand Foot Krutch he has put a nice polish on this newest batch of R.Y.E. songs.
