After touring relentlessly for the past 5 years as the lead singer and songwriter of the popular NYC group, Nightmare River Band, Matt Krahula has finally completed his much anticipated debut EP, Old Home Days.

A graduate of the SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Music (fellow alumni include Regina Spektor, Dan Romer, Langhorne Slim, Jenny Owen Youngs, Swear & Shake), Krahula has stepped out from behind his band to create a harmony laden EP with the pop sensibilities and alt-country flare that fans of Nightmare River Band have already come to love. Playing the parts of producer, engineer, and multi-instrumentalist on Old Home Days, Krahula not ony showcases his skills as a prolific writer, but also his competence as a finely tuned studio musician. Keep your ear to the ground for the first single, “Proof of Life”, featuring world renowned Canadian singer/ songwriter/ fiddler, Sierra Noble.

Krahula was nominated for an Independent Music Award for his song “Mary”.

He has performed at Summerfest, SXSW, CMJ, Launch.

His music has been featured on Showtime, History, Discovery, MTV, etc..

He wrote the album, Last Goodbye, for Nightmare River Band, which spent several weeks on the CMJ Top 200!
