Break-ups are hard, and writing a break-up record that skews the clichés might be even harder. Drenched with sun-dappled guitar riffs and quietly building bass lines, the New York based four-piece Loose Buttons aims to do just that with their new EP Sundays - the ultimate guide to a relationship comedown. Sundays has been met with an abundance of critical praise:

Loose Buttons have honed in on a blend of new wave and pop that is all their own.” – Billboard

“Irresistibly sincere.” – Consequence of Sound

“We’re absolutely in love with Loose Buttons’ scuzzed-out indie sound.” – Nylon

“A garage-rock-pop good time.” – Noisey

“Has all the elements of an indie classic.” – Indie Shuffle

The group, comprised of Eric Nizgretsky (Lead Vocals, Guitar), Manny Silverstein (Bass), Adam Holtzberg (Drums, Backing Vocals) and Zachary Kantor (Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals) first met on Manhattan's Lower East Side while playing in local bands throughout their teenage years. A group of native New Yorkers, the four-piece still resides along the 7 line in Queens.

Loose Buttons fuses the organized chaos of acts like The Walkmen with Brit-pop sensibilities a la Alex Turner, making subtle nods to new wave acts like New Order in the process. With Sundays, the band has devised a four-step program to walk you through your heartbreak - helping you cope with the shock, anger, internal doubt and overall ickiness you deal with when saying goodbye to the one you love.

The first half of the EP - “Tales of What I’m Used To” and “Between Brick Walls” - brims with a wistful uncertainty, creating beauty out of shock and confusion when you see your someone with someone new. “Am I The Only Reason” touches on the inevitable inward reflection and self-doubt that plagues you, and the EP closer “Milk & Roses” is for when you’re able to put it all behind you and see the past with a clear head. No matter what stage you’re at, Sundays is a gorgeous remedy - even if it is just a momentary fix.
