Our good friend Leo Lydon has just completed a successful PledgeMusic campaign and is now about to embark on a full US tour via BICYCLE! Let us know if you’d like to have him at your station, living room, venue, apartment, quad, etc. Chances are he's coming your way, follow his travels below.

Here’s his story in his own words:

“My name is Leo Lydon, and in August of 2011 I rode my bicycle over 700 miles from Boston, MA to Toronto, ON with only basic survival gear and my guitar. The journey took me away from my only home for a little under two weeks, where I experienced incredible things and learned more about myself than I ever thought possible. I felt that the goal of such a raw emotional and physical feat was enough to spark enough creative inspiration to write my first official album. Over the course of 6 months, I wrote, recorded, engineered, and mastered my debut album, entitled "Spoke On Spokes", which is out now with the help of Wonderdrug Records. Since this release, I have been devoting my time to releasing new music and playing this album live (solo), using loops pedals and various instruments in the hopes that I can travel by myself around the country (on my bicycle) and share my music with others.

Now that I have established a solid foundation and repertoire to bring into the future of my music, I feel as though the next step is to truly make this idea of a being a traveling "one-man-band" on a bicycle a reality. With the help of Pirate!, PledgeMusic, and Bern Unlimited, we plan on taking this idea and expanding it far beyond what I have already accomplished.

On August 17th, I left on a 2 month long tour from Boston, MA to Seattle, WA. Locations and venues continue to be established along the entire route, and we will be looking to share all of the multimedia from this tour with all those interested. I will be blogging, shooting video, and working on my 2nd album, all of which will be shared on a daily basis with the help of my website leolydon.com, as well as through Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Bern Unlimited is sponsoring the tour and I’ll be wearing their brand new helmet, “The Allston” (of course). You can follow along the 3600 miles I’ll travel under the hashtag #3600withbern as we track progress along the tour. The plan is to have enough video material to release somewhat of a web series, and possibly even a documentary alongside of the album itself. Also, my instrument set-up is entirely battery powered, and I plan on shooting/recording a lot of material in various locations as part of the blog. Anything and everything you would be willing to do to help spread the word or help support this unique musical project would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.” – Leo Lydon
