 Gymnasium brings together seasoned vets from the Boston music scene for a new sound blending the catchy harmonies of power pop with classic rock musicianship. Band members include Rod van Stoli (vocals), Charles Hansen (guitar, backing vocals), John Sheeran (bass guitar), Melissa Gibbs (keys, backing vocals), and Jonathan Screnci (drums).
Songs like “Coast to Coast to Coast" offer unique melodies with big time solos, while still delivering sounds evocative of major influences the likes of Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, and David Bowie.
The bandmates have opened for various national and regional acts, including The J. Geils Band, Booker T and the MG’s, Bad Company, The Saints, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and Mountain.
