FEATURING NEW AND UNRELEASED MUSIC FROM: The Ashes, The One & Nines, Fairmont, Les Trois Chaud, The Duke of Norfolk & more.

Mint 400 Records set out to accomplish one thing when it formed in 2007 and that was bringing quality music to the masses. This year finishes up with a majority of Mint 400's active roster participating in a Christmas Compilation that is sure to satisfy even the biggest Grinches. The concept started when Shane Vidaurri of The Ashes asked label owner Neil Sabatino, "Why don't labels make Christmas albums anymore? We should make a compilation of original Christmas songs." Ask and you shall receive said Sabatino when he curated this 12 song epic that features label veterans Jersey City's The One and Nines, Fairmont, The Ashes and label newcomers Les Trois Chaud and The Duke of Norfolk. As well the offer to contribute was extended to friends of the label who as well participated.

Bands were asked to contribute what they wanted, whether that be a Christmas cover, an original Christmas song or both. What they've come up with is an amazing eclectic mix of soulful covers like The One and Nines renditions of Brenda Lee's "I'm Gonna Lasso Santa Claus" & Ottis Redding's "Merry Christmas Baby" and on the other end of the spectrum is Fairmont's surfy Ventures-esque version of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and the spiritual Duke Of Norfolk's "Hark The Herald Angel Sings". This compilation is not without new soon to be classics by bands like The Ashes who contributed three original tunes including the Grinch like song "Does The Mistletoe Know?", the soon to be children classic "Did You Hear? (Santa Got Arrested for Burglary)" and their heart felt down home country swagger on "Am I Too Old For Christmas". Another standout included The Duke Of Norfolk's sentimental "Lovely Winter" which is reminiscent of something Mumford and Sons would have written. Fairmont & Les Trois Chaud were both on the same page with their songs "This Song Is Your Xmas Gift" and "Sorry I'm Broke" both of which speak of being poor at Christmas time and the stress of the holidays.

All of these songs along with contributions from label friends Adam Nicholas Copeland and Reality Suite round out a very different sounding Christmas compilation then you might be used to. Mint 400 Record's A Very Merry Christmas Compilation will be available on November 13th everywhere that MP3's are sold. So don't be a Scroodge, buy or stream this album immediately because we assure you it will brighten your day and get you in a Christmas mood.

"A Very Merry Christmas Compilation takes Christmas music seriously, and the results are some incredible originals and traditionals. Since it’s varied in genre, you can put it on the stereo and let the wildly varied emotions of the season wash over you. If you sprinkled the tunes into your current list of standards, they wouldn’t stand out at all; they’re that good." - Independent Clauses | Stephen Carradini
