The Hush Now Release Constellations October 13
"Hoping and Waiting" Released for Free Download
Boston indie-pop rockers, The Hush Now, are excited to release their sophomore album, Constellations. on October 13th. You can also preview the new album with a free download of their single "Hoping and Waiting". Recorded at Chillhouse Studios and produced by Mighty Lemon Drops' Dave Newton, Kurt Schneider and Noel Kelly, Constellations was supported by a cast of musicians including ex-Cerulean Frontman Rick Bolander on guitar as well as Noel's sister, brother, brother-in-law and nephew.
The Hush Now made an impression on music critics and fans with their debut self-titled release by wedding the lush sugar-spun melodies of shoegaze's dreamy heyday to the hooky muscle of bands like Guided by Voices and Built To Spill. Their premiere album released last October, climbed easily into CMJ's top 100 list and drew comparisons to My Bloody Valentine, Poole and The Ocean Blue, among others. Blog buzz and radio play by legendary BBC 6 DJ Steve Lamacq further fueled interest in the band, who had yet to even play their first gig. The album is still available for free Download.
Between the two albums, The Hush Now's "Traditions" ran in a Nike Women'sadvertisement, "Bedtime Stories" licensed for ABC's Eli Stone, and the band toured the West and East Coast. With the band's lineup set, more touring, both stateside and in the UK, is planned for this DIY group.
