Young Legs
“innocent, free and intricate handclap-worthy are Young Legs’ tunes. Honestly, in a world riddled with so much angst, it’s kind of a breath of fresh air!” - Deb Draisin | Jersey Beat
“Atmospheric and beautiful. One of my favorite albums for a walk through the bogs at dusk” - Ryan Davis | Coffee Escapism
“as delicate as early Leonard Cohen and as harmonically sophisticated as Sufjan Stevens, or even Rubber Soul-era Beatles.” - Joey DeGroot | Music Times
“really impressed with Steve’s singing voice, playing, and song arrangements.” - Milton Likes Bands
Originally the biography for the New Jersey Indie Folk band Young Legs read as follows, “Steven Donahue likes to make music. Matt Olsson, Ezra Lowery and Ashley Simon like to play it with him.” That is about all you need to know about this delicate mix of folk and indie rock that is Young Legs. Donahue’s debut EP “The Fog and The Forest” follows the story of a disenchanted lover who permanently finds solace in a misty wood. Unlike the follow up material which was the spring 2015 release “Promise Of Winter”, “Fog” is a little bit darker, a little more homemade sounding and overall a different side of Young Legs. This is a re-release of the debut Young Legs EP which never was given a proper release but make no mistake it is still as strong an effort and will take you a magical place with it’s soundscapes and ambience.
