"Between various solo projects and his work with At the Drive-In and The Mars Volta, Omar Rodríguez-López has compiled a discography that some rockers couldn’t if given three lifetimes. His latest effort comes in the form of  Octopus Kool Aid, which features vocals and lyrics from Teri Gender Bender of Le Butcherettes. The 10-track effort was recorded in February 2011, but “sat in the wild strawberries vault” until now." - Consequence of Sound
