Parisian duo Jamaica recently completed their first U.S. run this fall, unveiling their hook-heavy guitar riffs and electro-tinged grooves. Now, their debut LP, No Problem, co-produced by Xavier de Rosnay of Justice and Peter J. Franco, will be released on April 12th via newly launched Cooperative USA/Downtown Music. A digital version will become available March 8th, complete with bonus tracks consisting of acoustic renditions and remixes.

Already described as “pop perfection” by The Guardian and “killer” by NME, Jamaica, consisting of Antoine Hilaire and Florent Lyonnet, take their pop very seriously. Their upbeat anthems are conveyed in English, with intoxicating melodies as summery as their name suggests. Yet there’s plenty of attitude since Jamaica has a no-synth policy – which means a wealth of rock star theatrics, including plenty of guitar solos and big power chords.
