This Town Needs Guns

This Town Needs Guns, (sometimes called “TTNG”) is a four piece band from Oxford in the United Kingdom. They released their debut LP entitled Animals in 2008 in the UK, shortly after they were signed to Sargent House who then released Animals along with their first self titled EP stateside in 2009.

Losing their vocalist Stuart Smith to fatherhood in June 2011, the band decided not to throw away two of the songs they had already written together for their new full length, but instead record them for a 7”. In October 2011 Sargent House released Adventure, Stamina & Anger on vinyl and Digitally. They would be the last recordings with their friend and now former band mate Stuart Smith singing. In June 2011 the band also announced that Henry Tremain would be taking over the vocal/second guitar duites. A comfortable fit for TTNG as they were already friends and had played many times with his former and now defunct band Pennines.

The new This Town Needs Guns line-up have just wrapped up their second full length album recording with Ed Rose producing in the UK. It is slated for a Spring 2012 release on Sargent House worldwide.
