Emily O’Neal - Bird's Eye View

Self-Released

Emily O’Neal began performing in her local community in North Florida and writing songs at age 13.  She immediately fell in love with the process of songwriting and it became an outlet for expressing her emotions. She moved to Nashville in 2020 to attend college and receive a degree in Songwriting, while also pursuing her music career.

She has opened for pop singer Olivia O’Brien, played a sold out show at the Bluebird Cafe, and was a 2021 BMI John Lennon Scholarship winner for her single Paint Me.

Emily began releasing her original songs in 2020, with her debut EP Otherworldly in 2021. Her song “Villain” was the fan favorite of the EP and has been labeled a “crowd hit” at her live shows.

Her single “Watercolor” was released in July 2023, followed up by 2 more singles this spring in preparation for her debut album Bird’s Eye View, coming May 24th. The album will feature 10 tracks and explore themes about love, spirituality, and perspective.

Bird’s Eye View is about perspective. Realizing that every experience, good or bad, got you to where you are today. The 10 songs on this album reflect experiences over the course of Emily’s life, from being a shy, introverted kid to growing up trying to navigate life and love. The songs are sonically diverse, ranging from upbeat, guitar-heavy bangers to ethereal, dreamy ballads. Ultimately Emily’s goal was to create an album that is net positive, to uplift the listener emotionally.
